What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of focused concentration, deep relaxation and the voluntary acceptance of suggestions given by a Hypnotist for your specific goal.

 

Hypnosis bypasses the critical factor of the consious mind and works directly with the subconscious mind to achieve the goal that you wish.  Then, while participating in life's daily activities, your desired outcome is achieved more easily and with less of a struggle.

 

There is nothing mysterious about it.  In fact, you probably go into trance several times a day as a result of daydreaming, concentrating, watching television or a movie, reading or working out.  These are times when you become so focused that you are less aware of things happening around you.

What Hypnosis is not and other misconceptions

Most of the misconceptions about hypnosis come from its portrayal in the movies and television.  Some simple concerns people typically have can be answered by the following statements:

 

  • You won't be asleep
  • You won't tell secrets
  • You won't do anything you would normally not do in a completely awake & alert state
  • You won't be able to tell if you are in a hypnotic trance - the results will tell later.

Hypnosis is nothing more the focused attention and in actuality:
 
  • You will hear and remember everything
  • Your senses will become very keen
  • You will be able to move
  • You will be able to talk
  • You have choices and control
 
You can choose to focus on what the hypnotist is saying, or you can choose not to.  You can choose to accept the beneficial suggestions the hypnotist gives you or you can choose to reject them.
 
Hypnosis is something that you do for yourself;  it is not something that a hypnotist does to you.

How Hypnosis can help you

The versatility of hypnosis is beyond compare.  It is a highly effective tool for eliminating existing negative habits as well as implementing new positive choices to achieve the results you are looking for.  It is safe, natural, highly effective and there are no side effects.

Hypnosis can be used complementary with medical, psyychiatric or therapeutic attention with your doctor's or therapists's written approval.  Hypnosis should never be used as a substitute for these important treatments.

 

How long will it take to achieve my goal? 

There are no rules for how long it will take for you to reach your goal.  Your individual situation will be assessed and a program will be designed specially for your needs.
